FAQ - The method or operation is not implemented error in SSRS
Common reasons for the error:
This error message generally occurs when you attempt to drop a Nevron custom report item from the toolbox onto your report. Some of the common reasons why this can happen are:
- The version of SQL Server installed on the machine contains an outdated service pack (patch) or the patch currently installed is not compatible with the version of the Nevron custom report items.
- The version of Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS or Visual Studio) is not compatible with the version of the Nevron custom report items.
- You attempted to drop a Nevron custom report item onto your report without having first initialized or created a dataset.
Suggested solutions:
- Install the latest version of SQL Server service pack.
- Install the latest version of Visual Studio service pack.
- Re-install the Nevron Vision for SSRS.
- Add a data source and dataset to your report before attempting to drop the Nevron custom report item from the toolbox onto your report.
- Final option: Re-install SQL Server and/or Visual Studio.
