How to replace the images used in the library browser (the image that looks like a book)?

You should specify the Image and SmallImage values per each library group. The size for the small images is fixed – 16x16 pixels. The size for the large images is user-definable and controlled by the parent’s LibraryBrowser ImageSize property – default is 24x24 pixels. You may also control the size of the buttons in the parent’s stack via the ButtonSize property – default is 32x32 pixels.
